سوکال (واژه سومری)
ظاهر
سوکال (به شکل سنتی ترجمهشده از سومری به عنوان «وزیر») اصطلاحی بود که میتوانست هم گونهای از صاحبمنصب و هم طبقهای از خدایان را در خاور نزدیک باستان نشان دهد.[۱][۲][۳]
منصب سوکال
[ویرایش]واژه سوکال (اکدی: sukkallu) ریشه سومری دارد و در ابتدا به طبقهای از مقامهای انسانی اشاره میکرد[۱] که مسوول اجرای دستورهای پادشاه بودند.[۲] ترجمههای موجود در ادبیات عبارتند از: «وزیر»،[۴] «منشی»[۵] و «صدراعظم».[۲] تونیا شارلاخ یادآوری میکند که «وزیر» را ترجمه استاندارد امروزی در نظر میگیرند.[۶]
سوکال در جایگاه گونهای از خداییان
[ویرایش]در دینهای بینالنهرین برخی از خداییان سوکال نامیده میشدند و کارکرد همتای الهیِ مقامهای انسانی را بر عهده داشتند.[۳]
