NDN نام یک ژن در انسان است که پروتئینی به نام نکدین (انگلیسی: Necdin) را کُدگذاری میکند.[۴][۵]
این ژن فاقد اینترون است و در ناحیهای از کروزوم انسان دیده میشود که حذف ژنهای آن، عاملِ بروز سندرم پرادر–ویلی است. پدیدهٔ نقشگذاری ژنومی در مورد این ژن وجود دارد و این ژن منحصراً از پدر به ارث میرسد. پژوهشهای انجامشده بر روی موشهای آزمایشگاهی نشان دادهاست که این ژن احتمالاً موجب توقف رشد در سلولهای عصبی بالغ میشود.[۵]
از پروتئین نکدین در «تنظیم رشد» و همچنین «تنظیم رونویسی ژنی وابسته به دیانای» استفاده میشود.[۶]
این پروتئین با مولکولهای E2F1،[۷][۸] اینترلوکین ۱ آلفا،[۹] نوکلئوبایندین ۲[۱۰] و پی۵۳[۱۱] تعامل پروتئین-پروتئین دارد.
